Students come from all over the country to train in Utah because the weather is perfect for flying and the scenery could not be better. Start with local flights getting your Private Pilot’s License. Instrument training comes next where we spread our wings and take amazing trips out of state to gain real-world commercial flying experience and rack up the hours. Commercial training finishes with a Multi-Engine rating and CFI certification. Add CFII and MEI depending on your career path.
Regardless of your path, we will be your partner in aviation. We have access to multiple financing options and hire you as a CFI as soon as you graduate. We have an excellent track record and look forward to meeting you.

We ensure one on one personalized flight training and adapt lessons to fit each student’s learning style. Randon Russell
I have a deep passion for aviation, having grown up in the scenic landscapes of Utah, where I’ve cherished the outdoor experiences it offers. I call the Lehi area my home, alongside my wonderful wife and three sons. I thrive on outdoor activities like four-wheeling, rock climbing, backpacking, camping, horseback riding, and, above all, flying.
From a young age, I held onto the dream of taking flight, and that dream became a reality at the age of 19. It was then that I realized the importance of certain elements in private flight school education. I envisioned affordability, a fun and flexible learning environment, a focus on essential safety procedures, and access to modern aircraft designs. These principles became the foundation of Randon Aviation.
Our goal at Randon Aviation is to make you feel as comfortable flying a plane as you would driving a car. Achieving this level of proficiency is our top priority. That’s why we’ve chosen to utilize the Piper Archer III, a modern aircraft designed to help new students grasp the essential principles of flight in a safe setting.
Safety is paramount, and our experienced instructors are instrumental in creating a secure and enjoyable learning atmosphere. We only bring seasoned veterans on board who not only have a deep understanding of aviation but also relish the opportunity to teach others to fly in a friendly and fun manner.
As a pilot myself, I’ve had the privilege of training with various schools, including the Aviation Program at UVU. These experiences have underscored the significance of high-quality training, which has driven me to establish a flight school that I’m genuinely proud of.

Our Founder
Randon Russell
I have a passion for flying, and grew up in Utah enjoying all that this great state has to offer. I live in the Lehi area with my beautiful wife and three boys, and I love doing anything outdoors… four wheeling, rock climbing, backpacking, camping, riding horses and especially flying.
As a boy I always dreamed of flying, and have been living that dream since the age of 19. It was then that I recognized the need for a private flight school to have the key elements that were important in my learning. I wanted something that was affordable, an environment that was fun and enjoyable, had flexibility, taught essential safety procedures, and offered modern aircraft designs. These are the founding concepts behind Randon Aviation.
It won’t be long before you’re flying a plane, yet feeling like it’s as easy as driving a car. Getting my students to this level of learning is my #1 goal; which is why we use the Alrus CH2T Trainer instead of the older designs that are still out there. This is an aircraft that is designed to help new students learn the important principles of flying, and practice them in a safe environment.
Creating that safe environment is fundamental, and my instructors play a key role in that. We only hire seasoned veterans who know flying, and enjoy teaching others to fly in a safe, friendly, and fun environment.
As a pilot, I have had the opportunity to train with several schools, including the Aviation Program at UVU. Through these experiences I have come to learn the importance of high quality training, which has been the driving force in creating a school that I could be proud of.
