Bi-Annual Flight Review:

After the student receives a private pilot rating, in order for them to remain current, they must complete a Bi-Annual Flight Review. This will consist of an hour of ground and an hour of flight with a certified instructor who will be able to quiz the pilot on any aspect of the private pilot license. They generally review maneuvers and procedures in flight and on ground operations. The instructor will determine if the pilot is proficient and safe as a pilot. If the pilot cannot perform maneuvers up to the instructor’s expectations, they may need more flight training to become more proficient. Once they demonstrate adequate capabilities, the instructor will sign their log book.
